What is Andalucía in Apollo Beach?

Andalucía is a guard gated waterfront community on Tampa Bay with about 235 homesites and custom homes built from about 1990 through 2024. The gate has a live attendant around the clock. It is quiet and residential, with mature landscaping and little traffic, and it feels more like a private yacht club than a resort with a packed events calendar.

Does every Andalucía home have water access?

No, and this is the most important thing to understand here. Inside the same gate you will find canal or harbor homes with a private dock, bayfront homes on Tampa Bay (some of which cannot take a backyard dock at all), interior homes that come with an owned slip in the marina, and interior homes with no dock or slip. The Andalucia Yacht Club marina has 64 slips and is run separately from the master association. It has been going through a phased reconstruction funded by an assessment on slip owners, so buyers should pull current marina documents before counting on a slip.

What does it cost to own in Andalucía?

Andalucía has an HOA and no CDD, one of the biggest cost differences compared with the large master planned communities nearby. Amenities include a waterfront pool, a playground, clay tennis courts, pickleball and a bayfront rock jetty with a bench facing west toward St. Petersburg. Many homes built after 2000 sit higher than some older Apollo Beach waterfront homes, but elevation, flood zone and insurance get checked address by address every time.
