What is Covington Park like?

Covington Park is an established, non gated community of about 1,200 homes on the eastern side of Apollo Beach near Big Bend Road. It offers the Apollo Beach lifestyle without the new construction premium of Waterset or the waterfront and gate premium of MiraBay. Homes were built mainly from 2000 to about 2017, most between 1,300 and 2,500 square feet, and Surrey Park adds lower maintenance villas.

What amenities does Covington Park have?

The Irwin Park amenity center anchors the community with pools, a fitness center, a splash pad, tennis, basketball, sand volleyball and a sports field, and there is a third pool on Monarch Park Drive. Add playgrounds, dog parks, walking and biking trails, picnic areas and fishing in designated ponds. The HOA hosts neighborhood favorites like an Easter egg hunt, a Back to School Splash and Christmas at the Clocktower. Covington Park is not a boating community, and its water features are small retention ponds.

What are the HOA and CDD fees in Covington Park?

The master HOA was $110 for the year in 2026. A separate CDD assessment is paid on the property tax bill and varies by phase, lot width and whether the bond was paid off, so we pull the exact figure for each home. Because many homes are 20 or more years old, roof, HVAC and water heater age matter a great deal for insurance and for your budget.
